Costume Day (INVE$T Prize!)

🎉 Shamrock, we did it! Scholars can wear costumes to school on Friday, October 31st! 

We have officially met our Week 3 INVE$T fundraising goal! Thank you, families, for showing your Shamrock spirit and supporting our school. As a reward, scholars can wear costumes on Friday, October 31st! (Students who choose not to wear a costume are welcome to treat this day as a dress-down day). 
 
🎭 Costume Guidelines for Shamrock Gardens Elementary
As we prepare for our upcoming spirit celebration, we want all students to have fun while keeping safety and school expectations in mind. Please review the costume guidelines below.
 
Costume Rules:
  • Costumes must be modest and follow the spirit of the school dress code.
  • Leggings or spandex-style bottoms must be worn with a top or dress that fully covers the bottom.
  • All costumes must be worn with school-appropriate shoes.
  • No gore, blood, weapons, or violent imagery of any kind.
  • No political costumes or messaging.
  • Costumes should not cause a disruption to the learning environment or include distracting sound/light features.
  • Masks or face coverings that obscure a student’s identity should not be worn during instructional time.

We highly encourage students to select a costume from one of the following fun and kid-friendly categories:

📚 Book Characters
🎬 Movie or TV Characters
🦸‍♀️ Superheroes
🌟 Positive or School-Appropriate Creative Ideas
 
Optional Dress Down:
Students who choose not to wear a costume are welcome to treat this day as a dress-down day. All dress-down attire must still follow the school dress code.
