Throughout the 2025–2026 school year, the PTA worked year-round to support students, staff, and families through programs, events, communications, fundraising, and campus engagement initiatives. Efforts included student agenda design and planning, PTA calendar coordination, monthly website and volunteer efforts, and monthly Dragon newsletters to keep families informed and connected. The school year kicked off with staff back-to-school surprises for the staff, Open House support, teacher meetings, a staff lounge refresh, and welcome packets for families. The PTA hosted recurring monthly programs such as Donate to Dress Down days, staff snack carts, staff meals, spirit nights, and General PTA Meetings throughout the year.
Major community events included the Fall Carnival presented by Queens Pharmacy, Penny Wars presented by Sharpe Patel CPA, Boo Grams, Movie Night, the Winter Dance presented by Midwood Eye, and the Shamrock Shuffle fundraising campaign and event. Additional family and student activities included Back to School Yoga, Lucky’s Library organization and opening, the Book Fair presented by All Kids Pediatric Dentistry, the Winter Concert, National Bike to School Day, Tape Principal Legra to the Wall, Spirit Days at local businesses, and support for Field Day and Beginners’ Day. The PTA also celebrated and supported staff through Staff Appreciation Week, festive staff pick-me-ups, teacher meals, staff gifts, National Boards celebrations, and numerous hospitality efforts throughout the year.
The Shamrock Gardens PTA would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our committee volunteers and general volunteers who generously gave their time and energy throughout the school year. Their dedication made every program, event, fundraiser, and initiative possible. We also want to recognize our incredible PTA Board: Sarah Wetherbee, Alexis Boyce, Bree Jonmaire, Diana Materdo, Sara Smith, Emily Mills, and Liz Circe — for their leadership, countless volunteer hours, and commitment to supporting our students, staff, and school community.
