INVEST success!

Congratulations to House Enrich (Purple) for winning a close Penny Wars race! We loved seeing how INVESTed the scholars were in this fun competition. Scholars raised a whopping $3,844 for our school.

Thank you to our dedicated families, our fundraising scholars, and our local business sponsors for helping us reach our fall fundraising goals, and for making INVEST month a success!

PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES
Remember to sign up for first-quarter parent/teacher conferences! You should be receiving communications from your scholar's teacher via the CMS ParentSquare app.

PROSPECTIVE FAMILIES OPEN HOUSES
Spread the word to friends and neighbors about upcoming SGE open houses! Families can learn more about what makes SGE special, meet staff, and tour the school. Interested families can see all remaining open house dates and register for a session at bit.ly/comeseeSGE23.

SAFETY FIRST
As a reminder, please be vigilant when entering and exiting the SGE campus. We have a healthy (pun intended) number of walkers and bike riders, which is something to celebrate but also requires everyone to practice good safety measures. Drive slowly and safely on and near campus. We appreciate your kindness and courteous mindset.

CARPOOL HELPERS
Registered CMS volunteers can help with morning carpool either by simply showing up Tuesday mornings 7:30-8:00am for Lucky's Pals Carpool, or by signing up for Lucky Dads, which occurs one Friday of each month. (They also provide lunch support!) The staff SO appreciate any extra hands as they juggle all their morning to-dos.

Coffee with Principal Potter

Join Principal Potter for coffee on Friday, Nov. 3rd at 8:15am in the Maker Space room next to the Media Center. She'll discuss information at the state, district, and school level. Questions are always welcome. Coffee with Principal Potter is held on the first Friday of every month.

Garden Planting Day

Join us at the school on Sunday, November 4th, anytime 8:00am-2:00pm, for our first garden planting day! All SGE community members are welcome. Bring garden gloves, shovels/trowels, and wheelbarrows if you have them. Planting will occur rain or shine.

Drop in whenever you can. Coffee will be provided in the morning, and pizza will be provided at lunch time. Join us to make Shamrock beautifully sustainable.

Movie Night

Calling all scholars and families: The PTA is sponsoring an SGE Movie Night on Thursday, November 9th at 7:00pm at the school outside on the blacktop! The feature film: The Super Mario Bros. Movie! This is a free event for all Shamrock scholars and their families. Concessions will be available for purchase. Bring your own blankets and lawn chairs to sit on.

For those conscientious about bedtimes, remember--there's no school the next day!

PTA Meeting

Join us on Tuesday, November 14th at 6:00pm in the SGE Media Center (library) for our next PTA meeting. All SGE community members are welcome. You can find out how to get involved, learn more about how the PTA supports our teachers and staff, and get to know other families at the school.

SIT Meeting

Join school leadership on Wednesday, November 15th at 5:00pm in the SGE Media Center (library) for the next School Improvement Team (SIT) meeting. All SGE community members are welcome to attend. You can be part of the development and support of the school improvement plan and engage in decisions that impact all of our scholars. SIT meetings are usually the third Wednesday of each month at 5:00pm.
